CELEBRATION OF LIFE PORTRAITS

PXL_20240523_143943677_edited.jpg

While of course they are created through incredibly heartbreaking and sometimes really tragic circumstances, it is my greatest hope that my portraits help in some way to ease the pain and grief of friends and family by capturing the subjects at a time when they were carefree, happy, and enjoying life. I'm deeply touched that so many people ask me to draw such sensitive and emotional pieces for them....I draw each person as if they were my own family, and the fact I can help to keep memories, hopes and dreams alive is a gift and privilege I'm extremely grateful for and one I never take for granted.

Below is a selection I've drawn over the last two years.....as you can see there are several that I should never have had to draw at all 😥

Capturing happy and carefree moments

The vast majority of commissions I undertake are sadly memorial, or what I prefer to call, celebration of life portraits.

Working with me

Commissioning a portrait is a very collaborative process, especially when it comes to celebration of life portraits, and I pride myself on building a special rapport with clients to ensure we discuss every aspect of the commission to get the exact portrait you envisage. I appreciate it can feel like a potentially overwhelming experience, but I will explain everything in simple terms to guide and reassure you every step of the way.
